The following photos are of Dale and Gary Bernards. They were taken on Hull-Oakes ground near Monroe, Oregon in July of 2008.

The big Stihl 880 makes short work of this tree. Look at those chips fly!

Dale and Gary are going to help this one go over with a Silvey Tree Jack they bought at Madsen's.

This is Dale pictured with his "big" saw. This is also a good shot of the jack seat they made for the Silvey Tree Jack.

This is another shot of Dale next to the butt of this big fir. This tree had fifteen bushel in it.

This is Gary standing on the springboard. A big saw with a long bar is not easy to run on good ground. Imagine the strength and balance required to run one while standing on a springboard.

Here Gary is making a bucking cut on this big fir. His sixty inch bar doesn't reach through.

This is Dale putting an undercut in a smaller fir.

A big tree requires a good sized undercut. Notice how well Gary has lined up his cuts. These guys are real experts. Thanks Dale and Gary for the great photos.
